St. Teresa’s First Holy Communion Programme 2018 begins with an information meeting on Sunday 18th February at 11.30am, in the school library. It is important that you and your child attend this info session, as there will be many changes to the FHC programme this year.
There will be four parent meetings over the course of 12 weeks, during these parent meetings you will be given three weeks of worksheets for your child to complete and will be given formation and all the resources you will need to teach your child. The Catholic Church urges parents to ‘be the first teachers of the faith’, which is why we are making these changes to the FHC programme.
During the parent meetings, the FHC candidates will be taken into a classroom for ‘Children Sessions’. At these sessions, they will have a time of prayer, activities and a follow up with our Parish Pastoral Assistant and our youth group leaders.
The First Holy Communion Mass will be at 10am, on Sunday 3rd June, the Feast of Corpus Christi and the Parish Celebration Morning Tea will be on Sunday 10th June, following the 10am Mass.
